I will hire my own personal Simon Cowell

February 1, 2010

I can’t say that I’m happier than you. But at least I don’t walk around from here to there, remind everybody I meet, about their flaws.

“Eh mbak ini agak gendutan ya?”
“Baju-mu ga matching tuh sama rok-nya,”
“Duh jerawatnyaaaaa….”
“Kamu gak punya sisir tah?”
“Ga ada dress lain tah? Kok itu terus yang dipake,”
“Kamu gak pengen nyobain whitening-product toh?”

Et cetera et cetera et cetera. Zip it girl. Just shut your mouth up. The fact is, Darling, if I need someone to torture my days, I’ll hire Simon Cowell. I and everybody else in your life doesn’t need you to ruin our mood (even for a while) by telling us that we don’t look good.

When you doesn’t look good yourself either.

Eat that!

  1. One of the most common comment when you meet someone in Indonesia! Kalau nanya kabar dll, kecenderungannya selalu nyela … A part of the culture, perhaps? Culture yang di buku PMP dulu dijunjung tinggi sebagai bangsa peramah dan sopan santun!
